Brooksville family preserves mom's legacy by repairing sinkholes
A home in Brooksville was destroyed overnight by Tropical Storm Debby. Richard Gray, whose parents lived in the home said that everything was gone in a matter of hours. And if that isn't enough, weeks after the water finally drained away, three sinkholes opened in the front yard and the family was told they couldn't move back into the home. Richard's mom, Lily also passed away shortly after.
LRE Ground Services, a Brooksville-based sinkhole repair, and foundation repair contractor, stepped in to help the family by filling in the sinkholes. The company is also planting a new Oak tree to replace the 200-year-old tree that once stood tall, but was destroyed by the sinkholes.
Bay News 9 spoke with Frank Vitale, GM of LRE who said their goal is to provide normalcy and preserve Lily's legacy.
