One Tarpon Springs, FL neighborhood has been affected by muliple sinkholes. Most recently, neighbors discovered sinking areas of land near the tennis and basketball courts of Ed Dorsett Park. This came just days after sinkholes opened in the front and back yards of a home right around the corner from the local park.
Jim Flynn, marketing manager of the Brooksville-based sinkhole repair specialists, LRE Foundation Repair, was quoted in a recent story for local news channel Bay News 9. Flynn explains that catastrophic collapses happen only 1% of the time; in other words, they are extremely rare.
