Water Pooling Near Foundation of Home
The concrete slab of this newly-constructed home was not installed properly; causing water to pool near the foundation and door. The homeowner called LRE for a water diversion solution.
LRE's Crew Members Begin Work on Channel Drain Installation
LRE designed a solution that would divert the pooling water away from the foundation and out into the yard using channel drains and pop up drains.
Channel Drain Installation
Part of the process for installing a channel drain is to carefully cut away a section of the concrete slab close to the foundation.
Hard Pipe Installed Under Channel Drain
Once a section of concrete slab is cleared, LRE can install hard pipe beneath the surface that will channel water away from the foundation and into the yard, eliminating moisture from getting inside the home.
Channel Drain Installation
LRE designed a water diversion solution that would move water away from the home's foundation and into the large yard. A faulty concrete pour was to blame for the water pooling up near the back door of this home.
Channel Drain Installed
Once the new channel drain is installed, it is cemented in place with concrete. Screws are placed along the channel drain so the grate can be easily removed and cleaned out. This installation will allow water to move away from the foundation and out into the yard.
Hard Pipe is Installed
Trenches are dug from the channel drain all the way out into the yard. Hard pipe is also placed into these trenches allowing water to flow freely away from the home. This water diversion method is quite successful in eliminating moisture from intruding into homes.
Channel Train Installation Completed
Once the project is completed, the channel drain creates a seamless addition to the concrete slab and allows water to move away from the home.
Pop Up Drain Installation
The trenches are covered up, hiding the pipes that lay below. A pop up drain is all that is visible after this water diversion solution is completed. The home and property are left just as neatly as they are found.
