Stairstep Cracks in Exterior Walls
Stairstep cracks like this are common in Florida homes experiencing soil movement and foundation settlement. LRE Foundation Repair was called to eliminate further damage to this home.
Helical Pier Drilled into Soils
We installed helical piers around the exterior of this home to prevent future sinking and settlement to this foundation. Helicals are drilled into the soil creating compaction and stabilization as they go.
Helical Pier Installation Around Home
Helical piers are advanced using small construction equipment that easily navigates the tightest areas around a home. Once the helicals are in place, they have brackets attached to the top.
Brackets Attached to Helical Pier
LRE attaches brackets to each pier installed which is then connected to the foundation. Helicals can be used to compact soils and create lift to foundations with severe cracks.
Helicals Creating Lift to Foundation
Once helicals and brackets are installed and in place, they can be attached to the home and all can be controlled to adjust and add lift to a structure that needs it. All movement is carefully monitored and measured throughout the whole process.
Brackets Hidden Underground
The rods in the installed brackets are cut down creating a level surface that can easily be hidden once the project is complete and soils buried on top.
Stabilized Foundation with Helical Pier Installation
Once the job is complete, all brackets are buried underground eliminating signs of work done. Not only is the home lifted and cracks closed, but the necessary stabilization has been achieved to eliminate any future damage. The work site is then left better than LRE found it.
