LRE first completed a whole home inspection, noting all areas of concern, and was able to determine that shifting, sandy soil conditions were causing much of the erosion and settlement. LRE designed a solution that included the shallow injection of chemical grout to improve the soil conditions underneath this home. This chemical grout material is made of a polyurethane-type resin that permeates the soils, reacting with the moisture and expanding to strengthen the area. After the project was complete and the soils were stabilized, this homeowner could finally rest easy knowing her foundation won't experience any further damage.
