Photo Album: Front Porch Releveled in Auburndale, FL
Mary J. of Auburndale, Florida called LRE Foundation Repair after her front porch had sunken so much, it started causing damage to the overhanging roof above. She was worried the roof would get worse if the porch was left untreated. LRE completed a thorough inspection and designed the appropriate solution this homeowner needed. Upon inspection, LRE determined that the soils under this front porch were being washed away over time leaving large voids that couldn't handle the weight of the concrete slab. LRE designed a repair solution that used PolyLevel injection throughout the patio to lift the sunken areas and fill the voids beneath. PolyLevel is a high-density foam material that is pumped through small holes drilled into the concrete. As the material flows through the underlying soils, it expands to fill any voids and lifts areas of the concrete slab so it becomes level. After the completion of this project, the homeowner was thrilled to see her front porch leveled and could rest easy knowing her roof issues were now solved.
Concrete Porch Sinking
This front porch had sunk over an inch causing damage to the roof overhang.
Drilled Small Injection Sites
LRE drilled small holes used at the site for injecting PolyLevel materials. These holes are spaced out to allow for the proper amount of material to be used.
Nozzle Attached at Injection Point
A small nozzle is attached to a port placed in each hole where the material is easily pumped through.
Expanding Material Fills Voids
As the PolyLevel material is pumped through each hole, it creates a chemical reaction once it reaches the soils and expands to fill voids while strengthening the underlying ground.
Cleaning Process at Job Site
Excess materials are cut away and the next step of the project begins -- the clean up! LRE smooths out the leveled concrete and seals all cracks during the cleaning process.
Lift Achieved on Front Porch
LRE successfully achieved the lift needed to bring this front porch back to level ground, eliminating future roof damage.
