Photo Album: Sidewalk Void Fill in Palm Harbor, FL
James C., a homeowner from Palm Harbor, Florida, was worried about the stability of his sidewalk due to frequent small voids appearing underneath it. He sought help from LRE Foundation Repair to address this issue. After inspecting the concrete, one of our specialists determined that erosion, which is common in Florida, was the root cause of the damage. To fix the problem, we used PolyLevel, an expanding, polyurethane, foam-based material that was injected underneath the concrete through small holes drilled throughout the walkway. This material filled voids under the concrete, solidified soils and lifted areas of the walkway back to level ground. Once the PolyLevel phase was completed, we sealed the cracks with NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that protects the sidewalk from future damage. The end result was a seamless, clean-looking sidewalk that met the homeowner's concerns about potential damage and injuries.
Small Voids Under Sidewalk
This sidewalk had small holes under the concrete slab where soils were eroding away.
Unlevel Sidewalk
This homeowner wanted the voids filled under his sidewalk as well as having it releveled and sealed for added protection.
LRE Begins PolyLevel Application
LRE used it's product called PolyLevel to lift and relevel this sidewalk. PolyLevel is an environmentally safe polymer material that expands upon injection into soils.
Drill Holes are Covered
Once the PolyLevel application is completed, the small drill holes are covered and the whole sidewalk is sealed.
Concrete Sealed with NexusPro
After this project was complete, LRE added the finishing touch, using NexusPro to professionally seal the cracks in this sidewalk.
