Photo Album: New Channel Drain Installed in Winter Park, FL
After a hurricane hit close to their Winter Park, Florida home, Andrew and Stacy N. experienced flooding waters infiltrating their house. Concerned they did not have adequate protection for the next storm, they called us at LRE Foundation Repair for help. We examined the home carefully and determined that a lack of proper drainage was to blame, allowing heavy rains and moisture to easily access the home. Our specialist custom-designed a solution to divert water flow away from the foundation and out into the yard by installing a new trench drain, or channel drain, around the perimeter of the home. This drainage system is a surface solution that prevents water from entering the house by collecting it and moving it out into the yard. We carefully excavated the area, making room for an underground pipe and new drain hardware, which was permanently sealed with concrete. Once the new seamless trench drain was in place, it was exactly what these homeowners were looking for, giving them peace of mind for the next storm season.
Access for Water Intrusion
This home flooded after a hurricane as water was able to infiltrate the small gaps between the doors and outside patio.
LRE Excavates Area for Drain Installation
Our teams started excavating the area to make room for the new drain to be installed.
Underground Pipe Installation
Underground pipes are attached to the new drainage system that will not be visible once the project is complete. These pipes help divert water away from the home's foundation.
Pipes Buried Underground
After the pipes are buried, our team continues to work on the new channel drain installation.
Successful Installation of Channel Drain
The new channel drain, or trench drain, will properly move water away from the home and out into the yard.
