Upon moving into his Bradenton, FL, residence in 2013, David F. quickly noticed areas of the floor exhibiting soft spots. Given the house was constructed in the 1920s, natural wear and tear was expected. Growing concerned over the years, David finally decided to contact LRE Foundation Repair for a solution. Following a whole home inspection carried out by one of our crawl space experts, it was determined that the woodwork in the crawl space required additional support due to the adverse effects of moisture, which had caused the existing wood to deteriorate and begin failing over time. To address David's concerns, LRE recommended replacing the failing wood and installing our SmartJack system. The SmartJack system is designed to permanently stabilize failing crawl spaces. LRE installed a total of 18 SmartJacks to stabilize the weight of the home. One of the benefits of the SmartJack system is the galvanized steel supplemental beams, which are resistant to moisture, eliminating the possibility of crawl space damage in the future. With these improvements in place, David can now enjoy peace of mind, knowing that his floor is permanently stabilized.
