Wide Cracks Formed in Brick Walls
Large cracks were not the only tell-tale sign of a problem at this home. The massive storm waters eroded much of the yard away causing settlement and sinking at various points throughout the home.
Erosion to Soils Affecting Foundation
As the soils eroded away from the storm, gaps had formed underneath the house and throughout the yard. This caused an unstable environment these homeowners did not want to take a risk on. They called LRE Foundation Repair to stabilize and re-level their foundation.
Helical Pier Installation
Helical piers are made of galvanized steel so they resist corrosion over time and remain a permanent fixture to the home.
Avoiding Landscape Damage
LRE can install helical piers in the smallest of spaces, and always takes extra care to avoid any damage to landscaping.
Bracket Installation
Our brackets are also made of galvanized steel and are attached to the home's footer to remain a permanent fixture. Once all helicals and brackets are in place, they can be hydraulically lifted simultaneously to create the much-needed lift for this house to become level.
PolyLevel Preparations
After the first phase of this project was complete, the team at LRE finished the job by applying PolyLevel throughout the home. Small holes are drilled to insert the port that PolyLevel is injected through. This polyurethane expanding foam material flows easily underground to fill voids and compact soils. Once complete, these small holes are smoothed over and barely noticeable.
