Crawl Space Before CleanSpace Encapsulation
Prior to the implementation of the CleanSpace Encapsulation System by the LRE team, the crawl space of this home exhibits a damp environment that has been significantly impacted by moisture damage over an extended period.
Rotting Wooden Floor Joists
A significant consequence of moisture being trapped in a crawl space is the penetration and eventual rotting of the wooden floor joists that support the floors above. Over time, this can result in sagging floors or a complete failure of the support structure.
CleanSpace Waterproofing Barrier
The CleanSpace Encapsulation System involves installing a waterproof plastic barrier to cover every square inch of the crawl space. This prevents moisture from infiltrating and damaging the structural support of the crawl space.
Wrapped Crawl Space Block Piers
As part of the installation process for the waterproof barrier, the block piers in the crawl space are tightly wrapped with the liner to safeguard them from moisture penetration and potential damage.
CleanSpace Crawl Space Sump Pump
Included with the CleanSpace Encapsulation System is the installation of a sump pump specifically designed for the removal of excess water that may accumulate in the crawl space.
Crawl Space Dehumidifier
To keep the air in the crawl space clean and dry, the high-performance SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier is installed as a part of the CleanSpace Encapsulation System.
