Crawl Space Moisture Damage
Upon inspection, the initial condition of the crawl space revealed significant moisture damage, accompanied by a strong odor resulting from mold and mildew.
Original Crawl Space Access Door
The access door that was originally installed did not provide protection against water and humidity from entering the crawl space, resulting in damage over time.
Moisture Damage to Wooden Floor Joists
Mold accumulation has penetrated the wooden floor joists in the crawl space, leading to their deterioration and eventual loss of their ability to adequately support the floors of the home.
Moisture Damage to Block Piers
The excessive moisture accumulation in the homeowner's crawl space has affected even the block piers supporting the floors above, resulting in a significant buildup of mold.
CleanSpace Encapsulation Installation
The LRE team has installed the CleanSpace waterproof plastic liner throughout the entire crawl space in order to protect the space from moisture damage. Included with the installation is a proprietary dehumidifier to keep the air clean and dry.
Wrapped Crawl Space Piers
The block piers in the crawl space are also wrapped with the CleanSpace waterproof liner to protect against moisture intrusion.
EverLast Crawl Space Door
The original crawl space access door is replaced with an EverLast Crawl Space Door to provide airtight protection to keep humidity and moisture out. Composed of thick, solid plastic, the EverLast doors will never rust or rot, ensuring long-term protection.
