Stair-Step Wall Cracks
A very common occurrence with settling foundations is the appearance of stair-step pattern cracks along the exterior walls of a home or building.
Interior Ceiling Cracks
A clear indication to the homeowner that their foundation had settled was the appearance of cracks along the ceiling inside the home.
Cracks Around Window Frame
The shifting of the home's foundation due to soil settlement resulted in cracks forming around the frames of its windows, a typical indicator of foundation settlement.
Preparation for Helical Pier Installation
The LRE team begins the foundation repair process by excavating soil from the designated locations where each helical pier will be installed.
Installation of Helical Piers
Once the appropriate amount of soil has been removed, the LRE team will use specialized equipment to mechanically drive the helical piers deep into the ground beneath the foundation until they reach competent soil layers.
Complete Helical Pier Installation
After the helical piers have reached the appropriate depths, they are then bracketed underneath and to the side of the foundation's footing. From here, they will transfer the weight of the home to the stronger soil capacities deep below the ground, providing the permanent stabilization required. The piers will then be concealed with the previously removed soil to provide a seamless appearance.
