Photo Album: Enhanced Downspout Drainage Solution in Winter Park, Florida
Justin in Winter Park, Florida, needed a new buried downspout drainage system to effectively direct rainwater further away from his home and protect against flooding around his foundation. He contacted LRE Foundation Repair and scheduled a free inspection with one of our Design Specialists. The specialist visited the home, assessed the existing system, and developed a plan to install a new system that would connect the existing downspouts to an underground drainage pipe. This pipe would direct water away from the property and ensure it is properly discharged away from the foundation. Additionally, catch basins would be installed along the drainage pipe’s path to help prevent yard flooding and collect debris. Our production team implemented the plan, and upon completion, Justin could feel confident that he now had the right system in place to prevent flooding on his property.
Excavating Trench for Drainage Pipe
The LRE team starts the installation of the new drainage system by excavating a trench in the soil for the drainage pipe.
Installing Drainage Pipe and Downspout Attachement
The drainage pipe and downspout attachment are carefully positioned in the excavated trench.
Drainage Pipe Installation
The drainage pipe extends to the far perimeter of the homeowner's property to provide a clear route for diverting the collected rainwater.
Concealing Drainage System
Once the drainage system has been properly installed, the previously removed soil and sod are replaced to conceal the drainage pipe and provide a seamless appearance.
Catch Basin
To help alleviate flooding in the homeowner's yard and collect debris, a catch basin is installed along the route of the drainage pipe.
