Photo Album: Buried Downspout Drainage System in Titusville, Florida
Janet's home in Titusville, Florida, recently suffered foundation damage due to repeated flooding, which had eroded much of the surrounding soil. In addition to having her foundation repaired, she contacted LRE Foundation Repair for a more effective drainage solution to prevent water from pooling around her home. Our Design Specialist assessed the situation and proposed installing an underground drainage pipe, directly connecting the gutter system's downspouts to divert water away from the foundation. The water would be channeled through the drainage pipe and discharged via a pop-up relief drain at the far end of the property.
Janet approved the plan, and our team promptly installed the system, carefully concealing it beneath her yard. With the new drainage solution in place, Janet can now enjoy peace of mind, knowing the constant flooding issues that once threatened her home’s foundation are no longer a concern.
Ineffective Downspout Drainage
The original downspout drainage system had proven to be ineffective at properly diverting rainwater away from the home.
Buried Downspout
The LRE team connects the home's downspouts directly to an underground drainage pipe, ensuring that rainwater collected from the roof is effectively diverted away from the home.
Drainage Pipe Installation
The drainage pipe is carefully placed within an excavated trench and will be fully concealed once the project is completed.
Pop-up Relief Drain
At the end of the drainage pipe, a pop-up relief drain is installed to ensure the proper discharge of collected rainwater away from the home.
Complete Drainage System Installation
Upon completion of the work, the underground drainage pipe is properly concealed to provide a seamless appearance for the homeowner.
