Scott from Deland, Florida, contacted LRE Foundation Repair with concerns about frequent flooding in his home’s crawl space. He was looking for a dependable solution to eliminate standing water and protect his home’s foundation from ongoing moisture damage. After a complimentary inspection by one of our expert Design Specialists, we created a customized plan to install the CleanSpace™ Crawl Space Encapsulation System along with a comprehensive drainage solution to effectively manage rainwater and prevent future flooding. With Scott’s approval, our team began by clearing out the crawl space and installing an effective drainage system, including an EZ Flow French drain and a powerful sump pump to collect and redirect water to an exterior drain. Once the drainage system was in place, we sealed the entire crawl space with the CleanSpace vapor barrier to protect the wooden support structures from moisture and prevent mold growth. To further control humidity, we installed a specialized dehumidifier as part of the CleanSpace system, ensuring the air stays clean and dry year-round. For added defense, we also installed EverLast™ crawl space doors at the entry point, creating an air-tight seal to keep out humid air and pests. With the project complete, Scott can now feel confident knowing his crawl space is fully protected from moisture damage, even during Florida’s heaviest rainstorms.
