Concrete Driveway Repair
Do you have a concrete driveway that’s damaged, cracked, crumbling, sinking and uneven? L.R.E. Ground Services, Inc. can quickly and effectively repair your driveway by leveling the concrete, rather than tearing it out and replacing it.
At L.R.E. Ground Services, Inc. we use PolyLevel® to raise existing concrete slabs back to their original positions and repair driveways.
What causes concrete driveways to sink?
Here in Florida, erosion is common because of the sandy soil, especially after heavy rain. Erosion washes away soil from under your driveway, creating a void or space under the concrete slab. We see many reasons driveways begin to sink:
Your driveway can begin to sink in areas where the soil has been washed out.
- Clogged gutters
- Downspouts that are not installed correctly
- Poor yard drainage
All of these factors can make erosion worse.
A heavy load, such as an RV that’s parked in your driveway, can cause sections of the driveway to sink and crack over time.
Poor soil compaction
If you have a newer home with a sinking driveway, it could be because the ground around the house is settling, or the base of the driveway was not compacted properly. A sinking driveway near your garage can lead to foundation cracks and expensive damage over time.
Why call a professional for concrete driveway repair?
While surface problems of a concrete driveway can likely be patched, even through a DIY process, this won’t fix the underlying settlement problem causing the driveway to crack.
If you don’t repair the driveway properly, more cracks and crumbling can form.
Although do-it-yourself repairs might be less expensive, they can:
- Be messy
- Require special tools and equipment
- Take as long as 30 days before you can use your driveway again
No matter what’s causing your driveway to sink, we can fix the problem fast and prevent further sinking with our concrete leveling services. There is a better way - PolyLevel®.
PolyLevel® for driveway repair
PolyLevel® is a fast, effective option for repairing your sunken concrete driveway with a simple, quick process for concrete leveling.
Drill small holes
First, your contractor will drill very small, 3/8in. sized, holes into your concrete slab.
Inject the foam
Then, they will inject a high-density polyurethane through the holes. The polymer will spread beneath the slab, fill any voids and lift the slab back to level.
Patched and filled
Finally, the holes will get patched and the driveway cracks will be filled and you’ll be able to use your driveway the same day!
