Severe Settlement to Stem Wall
This pool deck area near Cape Coral had massive cracks and settlement due to erosion, being located so close to the water.
Deck and Tile Damage on Pool Deck
Cracks were spreading throughout the pool deck leaving damage to the stucco and tile as well as affecting the integrity of the foundation.
Deep Injection Points in Pool Deck
LRE drilled small holes throughout the pool deck to install small metal poles used to inject the chemical grout material. This material is used to stabilize the area.
Deep Injection Chemical Grout
LRE injected a material that expands due to a chemical reaction. As it expands, it compacts loose soils and fills in large voids that cause cracks to appear.
Expanding Chemical Grout Material
Once chemical grout is injected through small pipes, it flows freely through loose soils, expanding upon contact to fill in holes.
Chemical Grout in Deck
This material is used not only to stabilize the stem wall, but also to stabilize the entire pool deck and walkway where erosion may have caused voids.
Pipes Removed from Decking
Once all pipes are removed, the tiny holes remaining are smoothed over with concrete.
Completed Pool Deck Surface
Little to no damage is remaining on the pool deck once the application and clean up process is complete.
Cracks Sealed on Stem Wall
All cracks are smoothed out and sealed with concrete and silicone-based sealant where needed.
