Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Support for Sagging Floors in Dunnellon, FL

Duane and Patricia F. have been dealing with minor settlement issues in their Dunnellon, Florida home for a while, but started growing concerned when they noticed their floors were sagging when they walked on them. Worried there might be a bigger problem, they decided to call LRE Foundation Repair. Once LRE completed an inspection and floor survey of the entire home, they determined that faulty support columns, washed-out soils, and damage to the crawlspace were the main problems. To address these issues, LRE installed galvanized steel helical piers to the sides of the house affected by settlement. These piers are drilled into the ground and attached to the home's footer using a custom-fit galvanized steel bracket which stabilizes the foundation from further soil movement. Next, LRE addressed the crawlspace, removing the damaged wood, insulation, and columns, and replacing everything with their engineered SmartJack system. This system also includes galvanized steel posts, or SmartJacks, that are adjusted to fit, attached to supporting beams, and able to lift sagging floors. Once this project was complete, these homeowners were pleased knowing their home was permanently stabilized for years to come.
