Crawlspace Exposed to Elements
This crawlspace area was exposed to moisture and water buildup that started affecting the foundation and subfloor above.
Crawlspace in Need of Encapsulation
Like a lot of crawlspaces, this one suffered from failing supports, insulation, and moisture buildup.
Access Through Subfloor
LRE was able to access this particular crawlspace from above ground due to the damaged and removed subfloor.
Moisture Matting Laid Out
This matting material is specifically designed to direct water away from the crawlspace area and towards pumps that will push the water out.
Vapor Barrier Installation
The vapor barrier is made of a material that stops moisture from entering the crawlspace air.
Crawlspace Encapsulation Progress
Once the encapsulation process is complete, the whole area is protected from future moisture damage, and leaves a clean, dry and easy-to-access space.
Drainage System Installed to Divert Water
Drainage systems and other materials are used in encapsulating a crawlspace. This drainage system pumps excess water out of the crawlspace area.
Humidity Levels Controlled
The climate in the crawlspace is further controlled with dehumidifiers to keep the area clean and dry.
