Assessment of Crawl Space
During the inspection conducted by our Design Specialist in the homeowner's crawl space, extensive debris and signs of years of wear and tear were uncovered.
Wooden Floor Joist Moisture Damage
Moisture trapped in the crawl space without proper regulation has led to moisture damage in the wooden floor joists, significantly compromising their ability to support the floors above.
Sagging Floor Joists
The combination of moisture damage to the floor joists and the settlement of the original block piers has caused the floors inside the home to sag and feel unstable.
Installation of SmartJack System
Following the removal of the debris in the crawl space, the LRE team installed the SmartJack system in key areas to provide robust and permanent support to the floor joists, completely leveling and stabilizing the home's floors.
CleanSpace Drainage Matting Installation
As part of the Clean Space system, drainage matting is placed directly on the crawl space floor to divert flooding water toward a perimeter drain and sump pump system.
CleanSpace Waterproofing Liner
Installed directly on top of the previously installed drainage matting, the CleanSpace waterproofing plastic liner encapsulates the entire crawl space from floor to ceiling, preventing mold accumulation and moisture damage in the area.
CleanSpace Sump Pump System
To assist in draining any flooding water in the crawl space, a specialized sump pump system is integrated with the CleanSpace system, ensuring the area remains moisture-free throughout the year.
CleanSpace Dehumidifier
As part of this CleanSpace system installation, the CleanSpace SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier is included to regulate moisture in the air of the crawl space, ensuring a clean and dry environment.
