Alex C. from Apopka, Florida called LRE after being frustrated by his yard continually flooding each time it rained. LRE was able to inspect the area and determined that faulty downspouts and a poorly sloping yard were to blame for the water not properly draining where it should. LRE devised a plan that remedied both the flooding and water intrusion issues by first, carefully measuring and mapping out where the flow of water should go, and then digging the appropriate trenches. Once trenches were dug, LRE installed multiple feet of hard pipe that was connected to new downspouts and to the EZ Flow materials in the plant bed. EZ Flow is an engineered "French drain-type" system that is an affordable way to divert water and keep it from intruding into the home. All pipes were connected to pop-up drains located close to the road. Once the job was complete, this homeowner was more than happy the customized water diversion system allowed water to flow properly away from his home. Downspout Drainage Problems

The downspout of this home, and slope of the yard, didn't allow for proper drainage and water would pool around the foundation. This causes excess erosion and if not addressed, could become a bigger problem.

A pop up drain is connected to the underground pipe and allows water to "pop up" out of the ground and flow into the yard and street. This is a popular, and successful water diversion technique.
