Drainage Solutions Photo Album: Effective Drainage System in Titusville, Florida
Lori from Titusville, Florida, informed LRE Foundation Repair that water had been entering her home after heavy rains. She expressed interest in installing a new drainage system to address the problem, and we sent one of our Design Specialists to help craft a solution. After conducting a full home inspection, our specialist devised a plan to install an EZ Flow French drain system along the exterior walls of the leaking side of the home. In addition, the downspouts connected to the home’s gutter system would be connected directly to the underground drainage system to prevent the discharge of rainwater around the home’s foundation. The collected rainwater would then be directed to a pop-up relief drain, where it would be discharged at the far end of the property, away from the home. After discussing the plan with Lori, our team promptly began installing the new drainage system, successfully resolving the water intrusion issue in her home. Now Lori can put this issue behind her and enjoy peace of mind, knowing that her home’s foundation is well-protected.
Foundation Water Damage
Flooding rainwater had compromised the foundation, leading to water intrusion inside the home.
Excavating Trench
The LRE team starts the installation of the new drainage system by excavating a trench to place the EZ Flow French drain.
French Drain Installation
The EZ Flow French drain is placed in the excavated trench around the home, where it will actively collect rainwater and prevent pooling around the home. Once in its proper position, the French drain will be concealed by the previously removed soil to provide a seamless appearance.
Drainage Pipe Installation
The drainage pipe connecting the French drain to the pop-relief drain at the far end of the property is placed below the surface of the home's yard.
Pop-up Relief Drain
A pop-up relief drain where the collected rainwater will be discharged is positioned at the end of the drainage pipe at the far end of the home's property.
Buried Downspout and Concealed Drainage System
The home's downspouts are directly connected to the underground drainage pipe, with the entire system discreetly hidden beneath the yard's surface.
