Foundation Repair Photo Album: Stabilization Solution for Settling Foundation in Lighthouse Point, Florida
Mike had concerns that a section of his home in Lighthouse Point, Florida, was settling when he observed the outside wall was bowing, along with the appearance of cracks. Concerned with the stability of his foundation, he called LRE Foundation Repair and scheduled a free inspection. A Design Specialist visited his home and conducted a full inspection of his foundation. Upon finding that soil erosion had impacted this side of the home, the specialist devised a plan to stabilize Mike's foundation by installing a series of push piers along the perimeter. The LRE team successfully raised the home back to its proper position and permanently stabilized the foundation, preventing further settlement through the installation of the push pier system. Mike can now have peace of mind knowing that his foundation is permanently stabilized and safeguarded from the risk of future settlement.
Bowing Wall
A common symptom of foundation settlement is the appearance of bowing walls on the outside of a home.
Push Pier Installation
The LRE team commences the installation of the push piers beneath the foundation after removing the soil in the designated locations.
Push Pier Foundation Solution
After being hydraulically driven into the soil below until solid bedrock is reached, the push piers will then transfer the weight of the foundation from the unstable soil through the piers and into the solid bedrock.
Complete Push Pier Installation
With the successful installation of the push piers, the foundation has been lifted back into place and permanently stabilized, preventing any further settlement. The LRE team will then replace the previously removed soil to conceal the piers for a seamless appearance.
