LRE Foundation Repair Talks Sinkholes and Future Expansion with US Builders Review
Foundation problems are a common occurrence all around the U.S., and while sinkholes are common in a few states, Florida is a hot spot for sinkhole activity and even more so in recent years. Sinkholes happen so often in the Sunshine State that the Tampa Bay area is what's known as \"Sinkhole Alley.\" And where there are sinkholes, there are sinkhole repair contractors a lot of them. But somehow LRE Foundation Repair has managed to rise above their competition to become Florida's leading sinkhole repair specialists.
LRE Foundation Repair has been a fixture in the media lately, following the sinkhole which collapsed a Clermont resort. They were recently featured in the Summer 2013 Edition II of US Builders Review. They spoke with vice president Frank Vitale to discuss the sinkhole situation and their success and continued growth.
With headquarters in Brookville, the company has been serving all of Florida since 1989 providing full-service ground stabilization and foundation and sinkhole repair to residential and commercial properties. They have completed over 4,000 sinkhole repairs.

LRE started out as Lar-Rays Excavating Inc. in Hernando County. As they noticed the sinkhole problem growing, they decided to expand their services to include sinkhole repair. The company now uses products by Foundation Supportworks Inc. to stabilize structures throughout Florida. They do a majority of their work in Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Citrus counties, although their service area includes all of Florida.
LRE Foundation Repair doesn't just do the work; they also focus on improving the industry. They are a founding member of the Florida Association of Sinkhole Stabilization Specialists (FAS3), which is comprised of engineers, geologists and other contractors. In an industry that's so saturated with contractors trying to get in on the front end of a growing business, the organization was created to develop industry standards.
LRE was named as the No. 15 best place to work in the Tampa Bay area in 2013. Their A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau is a testament to their dedication to quality and the thousands of customers who have benefited from their services.
Vitale told US Builders Review that despite the economic downturn and legislation that has made the sinkhole inspection and repair process more complicated, LRE Foundation Repair has their eyes set on expansion as the company approaches their 25-year anniversary in February 2014.
